Mahara Park Labyrinth

New Zealand
  • Mahara Park Labyrinth

The Labyrinth is one of the key features for a lot of visitors to Mahara. A labyrinth is only one path. The way in is the way out.

Based on the seven circles of Cretan Labyrinth – a very old type of labyrinth being an important part of many cultures spiritually for thousands of years. The labyrinth’s pattern allegedly enhances the right side of the brain (creativity) and encourages contemplation and thoughtfulness.

Planted in September 2007 with 558 Buxus plants all hand raised, carefully nutured, trimmed, raked, weeded, de-rabbited……….. until it grew to be the attraction it is today.
