Founded in 1859, the Missouri Botanical Garden is one of the oldest botanical institutions in the United States and a National Historic Landmark. It is also listed in the National Register of Historic Places. [Wikipedia]

Located in the Lichtenstein Victorian District of the park, closer to Tower Grove Ave, the maze, also known as Kaeser Memorial Maze is adjacent to Piper Observatory, in close vicinity to Tower Grove House.

Originally dating back to 1986, the Kaeser Memorial Maze is a lush labyrinth, inspired by the work of Henry Shaw, the founder of the Missouri Botanical Garden.

A distinctive feature of the maze is an exquisite gazebo in its center - to have moments of rest there and spend some time in recharging solitude.
