In the spots where blue squares cover the yellow one, the intersecting regions become green. The total area of the respective color regions are:
Yellow = 38 squares
Blue = 38 squares
Green = 43 squares
It is enough to move only one blue square to a new position so that the total areas of the respective color regions are equal: yellow = blue = green.
Which of the four blue squares should be moved?
The 5×5 blue square should be moved and rotated as shown. The total areas of the three color regions become equal: yellow = blue = green = 40.5 squares.
