The Nolhaga Labyrinth

Sweden
  • The Nolhaga Labyrinth
  • Stone pathways
  • A pond nearby
  • Castle in the Nolhaga Park - bird view

Walking in the labyrinth becomes a time journey through history to the future, which reconnects with ancient times on the northern side of the labyrinth. Among the stones in the Nolhagalabyrinth you will find 33 plaques with texts about Alingsås' history. In the center of the labyrinth are two flat stones large enough to sit down and perhaps reflect on the magic of nature in the park.

The Nolhaga Labyrinth consists of a winding passage of stones, designed by architect Stefan Peterson. The labyrinth is created based on an old Nordic model called "Baltic Labyrinth".

The Nolhaga labyrinth was built in 2012 and is a donation to Alingsås by "Friends of the Museum" with the help of the following: Sten Lundberg, Britten Henriksson, First Hotel Grand, Mio Furniture, Magra grus och stenar, Östad Säteri, Alingsås Electric Co., Lundgrens Gräfsnäs, Alingsås Tidning , Åkericentralen, Cissus Building AB, WM Printing Office and the city of Alingsås.

The labyrinth is located in Nolhaga park (behind the ice rink). Nearby there is also an outdoor gym that you can train at all year round.
