Born in 2011 and inspired by the Borgesian story "The Garden of Forking Paths", The Borges Labyrinth is one of the many secret beauties of Venice. The Giorgio Cini Foundation which manages it has it open to the public, offering the possibility of visiting it entirely. Until opening it to public, it had only been possible to admire it from the other side, from the terrace of the Centro Branca.

The labyrinth is located within the island of San Giorgio Maggiore - a tiny island in the lagoon of Venice. The island, and more specifically its Palladian church, is an important landmark.

The Borges Labyrinth is now open to visitors as a part of a tour. The labyrinth is a one kilometer long path, made with 3200 boxwood plants arranged according to the design of Randoll Coate and inspired by the story by Jorge Luis Borges, "The Garden of Forking Paths".

Together with the island itself, the Borges Labyrinth is a hidden gem of Venice worth to visit at any occasion.
