One of the best-preserved Roman temples in the world, Baalbek, Lebanon. From 2nd century AD, it honors Bacchus, the Roman god of wine. Massive, richly decorated with Corinthian columns and detailed stone carvings, showcasing Roman imperial grandeur. UNESCO World Heritage Site (1984).
