Qal'at Bani Hammad
A ruined fortified city that served as the 1st capital of the Hammadid dynasty in the 11th century. Located in the Hodna Mountains at the 1,000 meters elevation, near the town of Maadid, in M'Sila Province, Algeria. A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1980.
