Huge protected Amazon rainforest in central Suriname; over 1.6 m hectares of almost untouched jungle. A UNESCO World Heritage Site (1998). Known for pristine rivers, waterfalls, rare wildlife (jaguars, giant otters, harpy eagles), and the massive bare granite dome Voltzberg rising above the forest.
