Cape Palmas Lighthouse

A historic lighthouse located at Cape Palmas, near the city of Harper in southeastern Liberia's Maryland County. It was built around 1855 - during the period when freed African American settlers from the US established communities in Liberia, and the lighthouse served as a critical aid for ships navigating the region's treacherous waters. 25 meters (82 feet) tall.
