The letters on both evergreens represent the first letters of the day's
hours. The left evergreen features the even hours - Two, Four, Six, Eight,
Ten, and... the Noontide (the actual "catch" of the puzzle). The right
evergreen features the odd hours - One, Three, Five, Seven, Nine, and
Eleven. When superimposed the two evergreens produce a whole clock dial.
